Perth Herbs brings together a practitioner-led approach, traditional herbal medicine and carefully prepared herbal products.
Meet Debbie Hearn
Debra (Debbie) Hearn is a Western medical herbalist and naturopath who has been in full-time practice since 1992. Her approach to natural medicine considers the individual, including their health history, eating habits and lifestyle.
Through phone consultations, Debbie reviews health information and existing pathology results, considers herb–drug interactions, and provides personalised herbal and lifestyle recommendations.
A personalised, seasonal approach
Debbie draws on traditional Oriental Five Elements theory — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water — as a framework for creating a personalised, seasonal approach to wellness. Alongside your health history, current needs and everyday routines, she considers the changing seasons when selecting herbs and other natural wellness options.
This approach brings together individual herbal selections, food and lifestyle guidance, and preventative self-care focused on maintaining wellbeing. Recommendations are tailored to the person rather than a one-size-fits-all routine, and can be reviewed as your needs and the seasons change. Five Elements theory is a traditional framework used within Debbie’s practice, not a guarantee of preventing illness or a replacement for medical care.
Traditional preparation, thoughtful ingredients
Handcrafting is part of our product story. Our five-mushroom tincture blend is prepared in small batches using the whole mushroom body. Our Anything Ointment brings together herbs soaked in olive oil with beeswax.
These preparations describe certified organic ingredients in their individual product listings. Each product has its own formulation, so please refer to its listing for ingredients and directions.
Digital tools to support your consultation
Debbie has created Elemental Herbals, a digital platform grounded in Traditional Oriental Five Elements theory. It brings together health questionnaires, symptom information, herbal references and practitioner formulation tools to support her work in practice.
Patients can complete a health questionnaire before their appointment, helping organise the symptoms and health details they want Debbie to review. For the practitioner, this provides a structured starting point for discussing individual needs and considering a personalised herbal formula. These tools support, rather than replace, Debbie’s consultation and professional judgement.
Open the patient assessment questionnaire. Use the personalised invitation from Debbie where provided. The form asks for your practitioner’s name and email so your answers reach the correct practitioner; contact Debbie if you need those details.
